Welcome to the Department of Educational Sciences, ÇOMÜ.

Our vision as Educational Sciences is to be above European standards in the field of education, teaching and research. In order to be able to accomplish this vision, our priority mission can be expressed as follows;

Since 1998, the Department of Educational Sciences has focused on providing education at various levels, especially at the undegraduate level. A undergragraduate program, three graduate programs and two doctoral programs are active in the department. 

Guidance and Psychological Counseling degree program aims to educate the professional staff (psychological consultant) who will be social engineers who contribute to the social, cultural, economic, scientific and technological development of our nation and humanity by carrying out the education of Guidance and Psychological Counseling and the research and teaching activities in this area under universal standards

The Master's program in Curriculum and Instruction aims to give individuals the skills of program development, design, implementation and evaluation according to various situations.

The Master's program in Educational Administration and Inspection is continuing to work in educational management, organizational behavior, and management systems.

Education Management, Inspection, Planning and Economics (non-thesis) program started to receive students from 2004-2005 academic year as an application-oriented program to train education managers.

PhD program in Educational Sciences started to receive students as of 2007-2008 academic year.

Educational Administration and Inspection PhD program started to receive students as of 2009-2010 academic year.

In addition to the postgraduate programs, the Department of Educational Sciences supports other departments of the Faculty of Education by undertaking teaching vocational courses. In addition, it also supports non-thesis graduate programs in the  Institute of Social Sciences and the Institute of Science.

The most basic aim of the Department of Educational Sciences is to investigate various problems related to education in our country with scientific methods and to help Turkish national education policy in this area.

In this sense, our Department is one of the most basic units of our university and actively conducts educational research and produces projects.
